Statistics are not always easy to understand, but with data science booming, statistical literacy is becoming crucial. Unfortunately tools that explain the basics in a simple and engaging way are few and far between.
Recognising the need to make statistics more accessible, Daniel Kunin through the support of Brown University created Seeing Theory. This project takes fundamental statistical measures and brings them to life through attractive and interactive charts, along with a bite-size explanation for each.
The primary intent is for the tool to be used an additional resource for students, however it also serves as an excellent visual encyclopedia for those without a statistical background who may be working within industries where data is becoming increasingly important.
